IN THIS MOMENT freuen sich, ihr Video zu „Whore“ in seiner ganzen filmischen Pracht über das Revolver Magazin (USA) zu präsentieren.
Das voyeuristische Video mischt die theatralische Souveränität einer IN THIS MOMENT Liveshow mit sowohl unwiderstehlichen als auch verstörenden Bildern. Für die Regie ist ein weiteres Mal Robert Kley verantwortlich, mit dem die Band bereits für die Videos zu „Adrenalize“ und „Blood“ arbeitete. In der zweiten Hauptrolle sieht man Motionless In White Frontmann Chris Motionless. IN THIS MOMENT Frontfrau Maria Brink hierzu: “His look is so perfect for the dirty vintage feel of the video, and he was a perfect gentleman while being violated by me."
Brink weiter: "I knew how amazing placing the visual arts to ´Whore´ would be when we wrote it, and I have been waiting to release this video since we recorded the song. I am so passionate about the concepts and every single detail that goes into shooting a music video, and I created my own stimulating visual metaphor to make this - I am grateful to have worked with Robert Kley again, he always seems to help me bring what I see in my mind to life. ´Whore´ is a song that pushes boundaries, and I needed the video to do the same. The song is about taking back control. It is about rising above and finding the power within ourselves. I hope everyone enjoys it!"
Gitarrist Chris Howorth führt aus: "´Whore´ is one of my favorite songs on ´Blood´ and the video is the best we have created to date - it´s just as creepy and sexy as our live show, with a bunch of extra surprises. Maria really outdid herself on this one... this is her twisted vision brought to life, enjoy!"
Im amerikanischen Radio klettert „Whore“ beständig in den Charts und platzierte sich aktuell auf #17 der Active Rock Charts. Der Song ist die dritte Single von IN THIS MOMENTs aktuellem Album „Blood“, das im August 2012 über Century Media Records erschien. Bei seiner Veröffentlichung erreichte „Blood“ einen beeindruckenden Platz 15 in den amerikanischen Billboard Top 100 Charts und passierte letzte Woche die magische Marke von 200.000 verkauften Platten.
2014 beginnen IN THIS MOMENT mit der The Hellpop Tour II durch Nordamerika, auf der es auch ihre Labelkollegen von den BUTCHER BABIES zu sehen gibt. Direkt im Anschluss brechen sie u.a. mit LACUNA COIL und den BUTCHER BABIES zur Shiprocked Cruise auf.
Maria Brink über das Foto zu „Whore“: "I decided to pose nude for the visual art for ´Whore´ to evoke a raw vulnerable emotion. The word WHORE written down my back and the dunce cap symbolize me placing myself on the stake for those who are suffering, and I can only hope to encourage at least one person to find the self worth and love they deserve to transcend out of a painful situation into a beautiful one. It is about finding our power and taking a stand. We are resilient beings and need to realize our incredible strengths. I will not bow down to others perceptions of me. I will only rise in the name of art, love and music."
